About me
Creative but not flaky, organized but not rigid
“You’re so creative,” and “You’re so organized,” are two things I often hear from others.
My writing skills sprouted in primary school, when I began winning school competitions. They blossomed in high school when I worked on our small but award-winning school newspaper. I have been writing and editing copy in some way ever since.
My life veered into service in my twenties when I volunteered full time with an international missions organization for thirteen years. During that time, I strategized content and developed copy for three different ministries.
In my thirties I married a widower and began another kind of service: helping my husband and his two children reorder their lives. Those children have grown and now we have two more sons in elementary school.
I have lived in six states and three countries. My broad life experience gives me an open mind when I approach a client's work.
I have a Certificate in Technical & Professional Writing from Central Michigan University. I'm a good writer but I find greater joy in editing--it's the perfect job to combine my creativity and organization.
